I used to be the young 10 year old girl, hiding in the corner of her grandmother kitchen, watching her cook in secret. I was lucky to be born and raised in my grandma and grandpa’s place, a true southern Lebanese family house, where gatherings happened on a weekly basis and there were no better way to show our love for each other than to gather over a nice authentic Lebanese dinner.

I started to learn how to cook when I was 15 years old with some basic dishes. A lot of trial and error occurred over the coming years, till I got to where I am today, a passionate creative cook. I gathered basic recipes from my mom, grandma and aunts; bought cooking books over the years – keto, paleo, Lebanese traditional cook books, cakes, baking etc. – did a lot of Google research, where not a lot of recipes were actually worth trying while others gave me ideas to create a fusion out of the basic dishes we are familiar with and ended up having my own recipes for eastern, western, middle-eastern, Asian, Mexican, Italian, gulf food.

To add a twist to the story, I am actually a full time mechanical engineer based in Dubai – United Arab Emirates. So my daily overwhelming routine as an engineer has taught me how to maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Cooking is still my lifetime passion, where I believe I can do great things in the future. But it has to start by taking baby steps, And I believe that this blog will help me grow as a cook and achieve my goals. I also hope I will be able to inspire people, and help them surpass their daily challenges with some tips and tricks I learned throughout my life thus far.
